4 Red Signs that Show Your Water Pump Needs Immediate Plumbing Repair

Water pump systems operate on a daily basis hence are susceptible to wear and tear. For smooth operation, they need regular maintenance. One of the worst mistakes you can make is avoiding simple repairs. With time, they escalate to become complex problems and eventually damage the entire water pump system.

Different types of water pumps exist depending on their usage and application. Understanding the type of your water pump is necessary to determine the kind of service it needs.

Here are 4 red signs that indicate your water pump needs immediate expert attention.

Insufficient Water Supply

A fully functional water pump should supply enough water on a daily basis. If you notice inconsistencies in the water supply, it is an indication that your water pump is not functioning well. So, reach out to an expert to troubleshoot the pump for any breakdowns and have it fixed before the issue becomes complex.

While the water pump may be functioning properly, your well might have dried out. Therefore, make it a trend to invite your plumbing expert to analyse the groundwater level of your well. Basically, they will determine how deep the well is to maintain a consistent flow of water.

Limited Water Pressure

The last thing you want is walking into the shower, smoothing yourself with soap all over your body, and suddenly there is no pressure to wash off the soap. If there is no pressure, it is time for your water pump to be re-primed. This is done by filling it with water again. In most cases, an air gap may appear in the motor system of your pump hence reducing the pressure needed to pump water. In addition, any forms of leaks in the pipe channels or the water pump itself may also reduce the pumping pressure. Reach out to your plumbing expert and have it fixed before it causes more trouble.

Weird Sounds

Any unusual sound from an operating machine is an alarm that something is wrong. Any forms of grinding, rattling, or shredding of your water pump needs immediate troubleshooting to check what could be wrong. A pebble may have stuck in the impeller system to produce the noise. Also, if your water pump is not installed properly, it may cause strange vibrations. However small the problem is, have it fixed to restore its normal function.

Water Contaminations

If you notice a difference in the taste of water or colouration, it is time to invite your expert to check the source of impurities. Such contaminants can corrode your water pump and affect its normal function.

If you are in need of water pump replacement or repair, consider an option such as Lowara pumps.
